Prices in the agriculture in the second quarter of 2013 increased by 4.1%


The index of producer prices in the agriculture in the second quarter of 2013 increased by 4.1% in comparison with the same quarter of 2012 and decreased by 0.6% compared to 2012. The crop output index increased compared to the same quarter of the previous year by 4.7% and the animal output index increased by 3.4%. A decrease was registered in the crop production compared to  previous year by 1.8% and in the livestock – by 1.2%.

Compared to the corresponding quarter of 2012 higher are the prices of: soft wheat – by 11.1%, maize – by 11.3%, potatoes – by 60.7%, tomatoes, under glass – by 47.6%, apples – by 70.7%, chickens – by 10.4% and eggs – 11.6%.

A decrease was registered compared to previous year in the prices of: wheat – by 5.7%, barley – by 7.9%, beans – by 26.1% and sunflower – by 4.7%. In the livestock an increase was registered in the prices of: cows for fattening – by 7.9%, pigs – by 2.9%, chickens – by 7.4% and cow milk – by 1.4%.
