1. Producer Price Indices on Domestic Market
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in January 2014 remained at the level of the previous month. The domestic prices rose in the mining and quarrying industry by 1.5%, in manufacturing the prices did not change, while in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply a decrease by 0.2% was reported.
In manufacturing, compared to the previous month, the prices went up in the manufacture of tobacco products by 4.6%, in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 2.6% and in the manufacture of leather and related products by 2.2%, while a price decrease was reported in the manufacture of wearing apparel by 0.4%, in the manufacture of food products, in the manufacture of machinery and equipment, and in the repair and installation of machinery and equipment by 0.3%.
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in January 2014 decreased by 2.0% compared to the same month of 2013. The domestic prices fell in the mining and quarrying industry by 9.9%, in manufacturing by 0.4% and in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 3.8%.
In manufacturing compared to January 2013, a price decrease was registered in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products by 5.7%, in the manufacture of food products and in the manufacture of basic metals by 4.7%. The price increases were seen in the manufacture of leather and related products by 9.3%, in the manufacture of tobacco products by 9.1%, in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 3.9%.
2. Total Producer Price Indices in Industry
Total Producer Price Index is calculated from Producer Price Index on Domestic Market and Producer Price Index on Non-domestic Market weighted with the turnover structure on domestic and on non-domestic market to the total value of turnover in the base year.

Total Producer Price Index in Industry in January 2014 increased by 0.1% compared to the previous month. Higher prices were registered in the mining and quarrying industry by 1.5% and in manufacturing by 0.1%, while the prices in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply declined by 0.1%.
In manufacturing, more significant price increases were seen in the manufacture of tobacco products by 3.2%, in the manufacture of leather and related products by 2.8% and in the manufacture of basic metals by 1.1%.
Total Producer Price Index in January 2014 decreased by 2.4% comparing to the same month of 2013.
In manufacturing, the prices fell by 1.1% as compared to January 2013. More significant price decreases were seen in the manufacture of basic metals by 8.7%, in the manufacture of food products by 4.4% and in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 2.1%, while the producer prices rose in the manufacture of tobacco products by 5.3%, in the manufacture of wearing apparel and in the manufacture of leather and related products by 2.9%.
