Industrial production indices in June 2013


According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted, increased by 0.8% in June 2013 as compared to May 2013.

In June 2013 working day adjusted Industrial Production Index fall by 4.4% in comparison with the same month of 2012.

Monthly comparisons

In June 2013 as compared to May 2013, the seasonally adjusted Industrial Production Index increased in the mining and quarrying industry by 5.4%, in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 2.2% and in the manufacturing by 0.2%.

The most significant increases of production were seen in the manufacture of other transport equipment by 12.2%, in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 12.1%, in the manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment by 10.8%, in the manufacture of electrical equipment by 8.5%, in the manufacture of food products by 7.8%. There was decrease in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products by 12.5%, in the printing and reproduction of recorded media by 9.4%, in the manufacture of leather and related products and in repair and installation of machinery and equipment by 7.7%.

Annual comparisons

On annual basis in June 2013 Industrial Production Index, calculated from working day adjusted data decreased in the mining and quarrying industry by 11.7%, in the manufacturing by 4.5%, while in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply an increase of 0.8% was seen.

In the manufacturing, the more significant decreases compared to the same month of the previous year were seen in the manufacture of other transport equipment by 50.4%, in the manufacture of leather and related products by 32.6%, in the repair and installation of machinery and equipment by 26.2%, in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products by 25.1%, in the manufacture of tobacco products by 17.1%. Increases were registered in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 24.8%, in the manufacture of textiles by 17.0%, in the manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment by 10.4%, in the printing and reproduction of recorded media by 9.7%.
