For another year, BCCI celebrated the World Day for Safety and Health at Work




On this day, the world day dedicated to safety and health at work is celebrated annually, and to the memory of workers around the world who lost their lives as a result of an occupational accident or occupational disease. Chief Secretary of BCCI Vasil Todorov laid flowers on the memorial plaque in front of the KNSB building and paid tribute to those who died and were injured in work accidents.
 
In the past year, 2,582 occupational accidents were reported, and 84 employees lost their lives at the workplace.
 
The event was attended by many representatives of trade union organizations and business. On the part of the public authority, representatives were the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Dr. Emil Mingov and the Director of the IA "Main Labor Inspection" Ekaterina Atanasova.
 
Deputy Minister Mingov appeals for unity and more efforts on the part of trade unions, employers and authorities to improve the health and safety working conditions of workers.
 
Ekaterina Atanasova, the director of the IA "Main Labor Inspection", said that under her leadership the inspection will continue to be uncompromising, will strengthen the checks, and those guilty will be punished with the full severity of the law.
