A discussion on the competitiveness and innovation within the framework of the Green Transition Forum 6.0 in Sofia
The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry was among the organizers of a specialized panel discussion dedicated to the competitiveness, innovation, investments, and the regulatory environment for small and medium-sized enterprises, held within the framework of the sixth Green Transition Forum.
The event was successfully delivered in partnership with the Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Bulgarian-Greek Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It attracted participants from business, state authorities, civil society, and international partners across Bulgaria, Greece, and Romania.
At the official opening, Monika Stanisheva, organizer of the Green Transition Forum 6.0, Viktor Gugushev, President of the Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Savas Karafylidis, President of the Bulgarian-Greek Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasized the importance of regional cooperation and the exchange of best practices in boosting the competitiveness of enterprises across Southeast Europe.
Dr. Eng. Vesselin Todorov, President of the Solar Academy Bulgaria Association and Board Member of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasized the pivotal role of the chambers of commerce and industry as focal points, sources of information, and drivers of initiatives aimed at implementing national and European guidelines for competitiveness
The event also featured additional members of the BCCI Executive Board. The roundtable discussion covered key issues shaping the region's economic growth, such as boosting the investment, driving innovation, improving connectivity, and fostering a business-friendly regulatory framework. Particular emphasis was placed on avenues of support for SMEs tackling the twin green and digital transition.
Partners from the Balkan countries—namely Romania, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia—actively participated in the discussion. They presented best practices and concrete proposals aimed at boosting cross-border cooperation, investment, and economic development throughout the region.
The forum provided a valuable platform for exchanging ideas, building new partnerships, and discussing practical solutions to enhance business competitiveness in the context of the green transformation and regional economic integration.
