Tsvetan Simeonov presented the Commercial representative at the Russian Embassy with an Honorary Diploma

The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov presented Igor Ilingin, Commercial representative at the Embassy of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Bulgaria, with an Honorary Diploma for his contribution to the development of the economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Russia and his active collaboration with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry during his term of office in the country.

President Simeonov expressed his satisfaction with the joint work with the Commercial Department of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Sofia. BCCI holds regular work meetings with its partners from Russia, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bulgaria, and the Bulgarian-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sofia, and organizes bilateral business forums to promote the bilateral economic relations.

Igor Ilingin thanked the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s commercial department for the good cooperation during his term of office.

According to data of the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy, the Russian Federation is one of Bulgaria’s main foreign trade partners, BCCI reminded. In 2017, it accounted for 2.7% of exports and 10.3% of imports to Bulgaria, meaning that additional efforts are required to balance the bilateral trade. Bulgaria accounts for about 1% of Russia’s foreign trade turnover.
