French Montupet increases production in Bulgaria by 50%


The French auto parts company Montupet will increase its production capacity in Ruse by 50%  with an investment in a new production hall, said the Managing Director Michael Bryson, cited by the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA).

The plant`s new hall takes 10 000 sq.m. and with it the entire area of the plant reaches 30 000 sq.m.

The new investment in the Ruse plant will create another 300 workplaces, making the total number of employees in the plant reach 1000. So far Montupet has invested between EUR 3 and 4 mln in buildings in Ruse. Together with the new equipment for the third hall in the plant the total investment in Bulgaria exceeds EUR 100 mln.

Some of the clients of the Bulgarian subsidiary of Montupet are Audi, BMW, Ford and Dacia. The plant for cylinder heads and aluminum parts for the automotive industry is the first in Eastern Europe for Montupet. The company also has production facilities in France, Spain, Northern Ireland and Mexico.
