Devexperts opens a development center in Bulgaria

Devexperts, a multinational custom software development company with headquarters in Munich, has announced the opening of its new R&D center, which will be located in Sofia. The company chose Bulgaria as the latest destination in which to open its new office having previously established R&D centers in Munich, Antalya and Porto.

Devexperts is known for its expertise and highly specialized capital market software solutions, whose clients are primarily retail and institutional brokers, banks, wealth-management firms, as well as stock and crypto exchanges.

"It is a great honor and challenge for us to choose Bulgaria as the R&D center for Devexperts. We were considering different destinations, including Hungary and the Czech Republic, but then realized this country has more to offer to us, and decided to invest here. I believe that in Bulgaria there are many qualified and well-trained specialists, as well as good business conditions", commented Michael Babushkin, CEO of Devexperts.

Among the priorities of Devexperts will be both attracting qualified software specialists and investing in educational programs - working with local universities and creating workshops and internship programs.

Devexperts development center in Bulgaria will be headed by Viktor Andonov, a longtime expert in the IT industry possessing strong expertise in the financial sector. Prior to taking over his current position, Andonov led the development center of DataArt Europe, and before that, he was a vice president of software engineering at Moody's Investor Services and a RecycleBank Technology Director.

"The fact that a highly specialized software company such as Devexperts has decided to invest in our country is yet more proof that Bulgaria is becoming an established IT destination. We have already begun the selection process of software engineers, so anyone interested in our vacancies can contact us at hr@devexperts.com" said Andonov.

Devexperts was founded in 2002 and currently has over 400 employees in different offices around the world, with many of the software engineers being participants in the Collegiate Programming Contest and winners of the TopCoder and Google Jam. The company has received in the past fifteen years more than 25 of the global software and financial industries most prestigious awards.

Devexperts products include a wide range of custom online trading platforms, risk management and algorithmic tools for real-time data processing and analysis. The company has developments in AI chatbots for brokers and investment managers, VR/AR trading and analytical terminals, heatmap and zooming user interfaces, fraud detection technology to monitor suspicious activities in financial markets, and index management.
