World's most influential business media for the first time together in Bulgaria


For the first time, invited by InvestBulgaria Agency, representatives of the globally recognized business media – Financial Times, The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Businessweek, Bloomberg TV, CNBC and CNN, in which our country is successfully promoted as an attractive destination for investment, came together in Bulgaria. They are in our country on the occasion of a conference, which took place on March 26th at Sheraton Sofia Hotel Balkan, organized under the project "Promoting the advantages for investing in Bulgaria", implemented under the Operational Programme "Development of the Competitiveness of the Bulgarian Economy” 2007-2013, financed by the European Union through the European Fund for Regional Development.

The event was attended by representatives of ministries, ambassadors, commercial attaches, economic analysts, representatives of banks, trade unions, media and others. "This is the first big advertising campaign for Bulgaria, realized abroad till now, which promotes our country as an investment destination. It is our great challenge and achievement, particularly in times of global economic crisis to implement such a project, funded entirely by the EU”, said Mr. Borislav Stefanov, Executive Director of the InvestBulgaria Agency.

The main activities, included in the campaign were presented during the meeting: 630 broadcasts of three promotional videos in English, Japanese, Chinese and German in the business televisions Bloomberg, CNBC, CNN; publishing of 40 advertising banners on the web-sites of Wall Street Journal, Economist, Financial Times, Bloomberg, Bloomberg Businessweek, Bloomberg TV, CNBC, and CNN; posts of print ads in 8 editions for Europe, USA and Asia of Financial Times, Economist, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Businessweek; 39 printed publications; 12-week presence in international search engines in Europe, USA and Asia, 5 themed short films for online distribution, expressing the opinion of foreign investors in Bulgaria.

The project "Promoting the advantages for investing in Bulgaria" aims to facilitate the process of building a positive image of our country as an investment destination and to increase its perception among foreign investors. The project includes 23 activities, which are implemented through 26 public procurement procedures under the PPA for services, supplies and selection of external experts.
