Schenker EOOD has enlarged the capacities of its branch office in Plovdiv since December 2012 by moving to a newly build facility. The new logistics terminal in Plovdiv provides additional space and modern technology environment for the customers of the company in the region and will broaden the range of services for different industry’s needs.
With around 2,000 square meters for both cross-docking and warehousing of goods and modern truck ramps, the facility will be connected to the national and international network of DB Schenker. It provides the possibility to realize warehouse outsourcing projects that will help clients to optimize their logistics.
The area of the warehouse might be doubled in the upcoming years as the plot of land next to the facilities is meant to ensure possible future enlargements. The building is designed to be energy efficient and functional, with the highest standards of technologies. Available are key-cards access control, video surveillance, security alarm and fire emergency system.
The site is located in an area with a high density of industries and businesses. It is in the Radinovo district, close to the main highway “Trakia” which is connecting the capital Sofia to the seaside and to the neighbor country Turkey.
Schenker EOOD is constantly expanding its business capacities and Plovdiv is the latest example. The branch office of the company in Ruse also relocated in December 2012 and started to operate in a modern new-built office and warehouse. Projects for enlarging of logistics and office capacities have already been completed before in Varna and Burgas.
All together Schenker EOOD operates six branch offices in Bulgaria with 175 employees. The company offers the whole spectrum of solutions of DB Schenker Logistics including land transport by truck and railway, air and ocean freight and contract logistics solutions.
