Kazakh-Bulgarian Business Council will be Established as Next Step in Developing Bilateral Economic Relations


The Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Sofia, H.E. Victor Temirbayev, visited BCCI and talked with its President Tsvetan Simeonov. Also, Meirzhan Zhumadylla, Attache, and Arsen Abdrakhmanov, Second Secretary to the Embassy, participated in the meeting.

The meeting was held on the occasion of a Memorandum of Understanding, signed between the International Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the framework of a bilateral economic Forum in Astana last year in June, with the participation of the presidents of both countries – Roumen Radev (22 January 2017  - 23 January 2026) and Kassym-Jomart Tokaev. The document contains a proposal to establish a Kazakh-Bulgarian Business Council with the participation of entrepreneurs from both countries. In order to complete the details, connected with creating the Business Council, the Embassy team and BCCI agreed to join forces and start collaboration.

On the part of Kazakhstan, there was interest in cooperation in the fields of banking, information technologies, pharmacy, minerals extraction, etc.
