Mr. Thomas Bichan, Deputy Ambassador of the Slovak Republic in Bulgaria visited BCCI to meet BCCI President Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov. The occasion was the invitation to Bulgaria as a partner country in the Sixth Business Forum of the Slovak Agency for Development of Investments and Trade (SARIO). The event is scheduled for late October or early November 2012 and is intended for specialized business organizations, mainly in energy, mechanical engineering, automotive, electrical engineering, chemical and timber industries and information technologies.
Every year a partner country takes part in the forum. Previous editions featured the Czech Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of France and the Republic of Serbia. 49 foreign and 90 Slovak companies participated in the last business forum. The Forum coincides with the meeting of the Joint Bulgarian-Slovak Advisory Commission for Economic Cooperation, which determines the participation of representatives of the Government of Bulgaria and Slovakia.
Bulgaria will participate with a common booth where 10 selected Bulgarian companies will exhibit their products to represent Bulgaria in the best possible way. Companies that are not included in the common booth will be able to exhibit their products at relevant places available for this purpose. The bilateral meetings during the Business Forum will be organized by the Slovak Agency for Development of Investments and Trade (SARIO), providing business partners for all participants.
The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Bulgaria in cooperation with the Danube Cluster of Knowledge and the company Reming Consult PLC organize a workshop in early October 2012 entitled "Danube cluster of knowledge - an instrument of cooperation and solidarity in the Danube region." During the workshop renowned Slovak companies in the field of infrastructure, energy efficiency, waste water treatment plants, urban parking etc.
