BCCI supported the continuation of the 60/40 job retention scheme
At a meeting of the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation, held on 28 June, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry was represented by the President Tsvetan Simeonov and Mihaela Mihaylova, Chief Legal Expert at BCCI’s Legal Directorate.
The social partners discussed a Draft Decree amending and supplementing Decree No. 151 of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria of 2020, laying down the terms and conditions for payment of wage subsidies for maintaining the employment of workers and employees after the period of the state of emergency.
The Decree was supported unanimously by all employers’ organizations.
During the discussion, the President of BCCI expressed the support of the Chamber for the Draft Decree and the ongoing efforts of the caretaker government in cooperation with the tripartite partners to retain jobs.
The Finance Minister informed the participants in the meeting about the planned budget update and announced the government’s intentions to create a mechanism for recalculation of pensions
