9th European Forum on Social Entrepreneurship


26th-29th March 2020, Plovdiv, Bulgaria

This unique Forum is organized by the European Commission (EC), the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy of Republic of Bulgaria, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), the European Confederation of Industrial and Service Cooperatives (CECOP), the National Union of Worker Producers’ Cooperatives of Bulgaria (NUWPC) and eight leading non-governmental organizations.

Every year the forum provides an opportunity for social entrepreneurs from different European countries to present their business, to communicate directly with representatives of European and national institutions and to get familiar with current policies promoting social economy in Europe. This year the forum includes as follows:

Conference: “Social Entrepreneurship – rising perspectives and challenges

Round table: “Financial sources of Social Entrepreneurship

Discussion: “Social Entrepreneurship as a European perspective for development of Local Communities

Discussion: “Social Entrepreneurship and CSR”

Scientific-practical conference: “Social Entrepreneurship and Education”

The forum traditionally includes an international trade fair, where more than 100 social enterprises from over 16 countries are given the unique opportunity to exhibit free of charge their products and services. The participants can exchange experiences and establish new contacts during conferences, roundtables and workshops dedicated to current issues in the field of social economy.

The 9th EFSE enjoys growing interest from business partners, media and general public and is expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors in 2020.
