Round Table on “The Green Transition and the Investments in Technologies and Network”


The Energy Management Institute (EMI), in partnership with the AmCham and the National Energy Chamber is organizing a Round Table on “The Green Transition and the Investments in Technologies and Network”, which will take place live on 6th October 2022 in the INTERCONTINENTAL Hotel in Sofia. The event will formally start at 09.30 a.m. The key focus of the discussions will be on the need of urgent investments in the electricity network as a precondition for successful green transition.

The keynote speaker at the event will be the Secretary General of EURELECTRIC Mr. Kristian Ruby.

Introductory remarks will be made by the Bulgarian Energy Minister Mr. Rosen Hristov and H.E. Mr. Lukáš Kaucký – Ambassador of the Czech Republic, which is currently presiding the Council of the European Union.  Among the confirmed speakers are also the Chairman of the Bulgarian Energy and Water Regulatory Commission Mr. Ivan Ivanov, Mr. Michael Lally, U.S. Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs to the European Union in Brussels, and the CEO of the Bulgarian Electricity System Operator Mr. Angelin Tsachev.

The programme also envisages sufficient time for open discussions with the participation of representatives of state institutions, trade unions, NGOs, business associations and companies etc. , who have been formally invited to attend. The event will be also open to the media. Translation to and from English will be provided. No registration tax envisaged.
