The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a meeting with a Czech business delegation which brought together representatives of institutions and companies from both countries who are interested in developing the bilateral economic relations and establishing new business partnerships.
The meeting was opened by BCCI President Tsvetan Simeonov who welcomed the guests and introduced the Bulgarian participants. The Chamber’s Vice Presidents, Krasimir Dachev and Todor Tabakov, as well as members of the Management Board and Heads of departments in BCCI, also took part in the discussion.
In his speech of welcome, Tsvetan Simeonov highlighted the positive development of the relations between Bulgaria and the Czech Republic and expressed satisfaction with the upsurge recorded both in the cultural and in the commercial ties between the two countries, regardless of the challenging and the uncertain international environment.
Focus on New Partnerships
Radek Jakubski, Vice President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce, also greeted the participants and commented that the visit of the Czech delegation aimed to give a fresh impetus to the bilateral contacts and to create conditions for setting up new trade partnerships between companies from Bulgaria and the Czech Republic.
In addition, during the meeting an official invitation was sent to BCCI to visit Czechia with a Bulgarian business delegation – an opportunity to continue the opened dialogue and to develop specific contacts between enterprises from both countries.
The Programme continued with a presentation of the activity, services and the options to support businesses, provided by BCCI. The representatives of the Czech delegation posed many questions related to the economic and business environment in Bulgaria.
The Vice President of BCCI Todor Tabakov outlined potential areas for future cooperation and follow-up discussions, which can contribute to the implementation of new joint initiatives and business projects.
