H.E. Ghazi Hamed Alfadhli, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait in Sofia, visited the BCCI and spoke with the President of the BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov.
During the meeting, the organization of an upcoming visit of a Bulgarian business delegation to Kuwait in autumn of this year was discussed. Interest in cooperation between companies from both countries has been expressed in the following economic sectors: food industry, cybersecurity, information technology, artificial intelligence, tourism, pharmacy, construction.
It is planned to hold a bilateral business forum during the visit with the participation of the Investment Agency from the Kuwaiti side, which will present the investment opportunities in the country, the Recruitment Agency, etc.
Ambassador Alfadhli informed about plans for the implementation of a large-scale infrastructure project, including a railway and a highway. The so-called "Development Road" is worth $ 17 billion. The project for a 1,200-kilometer railway and road route aims to improve transport connectivity between Asia and Europe, with a connection between the Iraqi port of Grand Al-Faw and Turkey, and is planned to pass through the territory of Bulgaria and Serbia.
