The possibilities for cooperation in the field of energy were discussed with guests from the USA

Brian Wilson, Director of the Institute of Energy at Colorado State University, USA and Assoc. Prof. Vladimir Zinoviev, Department of "Economics of Transport and Energy", UNWE, visited Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and discussed with the President Tsvetan Simeonov the possibilities for deeper cooperation between science and business.

Tsvetan Simeonov presented the activities of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the regional structure and the main services that the Chamber provides for the benefit of business. He reviewed the economic situation in the country, emphasizing the tax system and the low state debt. The energy system in Bulgaria was discussed, as were the possibilities for diversification of energy sources, etc.

Brian Wilson introduced the work of the Energy Institute, where over 200 researchers are developing innovative solutions to energy and carbon challenges on a global scale. He also informed about projects on which the Institute has worked recently.

Special attention was paid to the relationship between scientific fields and business, the development of an entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem. The need for greater cooperation between the various institutes and businesses in Bulgaria was discussed, in order to stimulate growth and deal with new challenges.
