The President of the BCCI awarded the diplomas of the Class of 2023 of the Faculty of Economics at the VT University “St. St. Cyril and Methodius"




BCCI President Tsvetan Simeonov met with the Rector of the Veliko Tarnovo University "St. St. Cyril and Methodius", Prof. Dimitar Dimitrov.

Simeonov and Dimitrov discussed the important link between higher education and business. The need for closer links between the representative organizations of business and higher education institutions was recognized. The two agreed that BCCI and VTU should materialize the similarities in their thinking on the subject by a partnership agreement.

The President of BCCI also participated in the ceremony of awarding of diplomas to the graduates of the Class of 2023 of the Faculty of Economics at VTU. In his address to them Tsvetan Simeonov encouraged them to take advantage of all the favourable conditions for business, life and development that Bulgaria provides, especially for the specialists from the programmes of the Faculty of Economics.

Meeting with the leadership of public authorities in Veliko Tarnovo district

Within the framework of his visit, the President of BCCI, Tsvetan Simeonov also met with the Governor of Veliko Tarnovo, Ivaylo Zdravkov, and the Deputy Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo, Georgi Karamashev.

The economic situation of the district was discussed at the meeting. The President of the BCCI presented the opportunities for cooperation within the chambers of commerce and the possibilities for attracting investments that the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry can offer. Simeonov recommended more active actions on the part of the public authorities for building an industrial zone with the necessary infrastructure. The existence of a separate industrial zone is an infrastructure that has proven to be a significant factor in attracting investment, both external and internal.

The President of BCCI also visited ELMOT AD, a company specialized in the production of electric motors, electric telfers, gear motors and other crane components. He met with the company's management and was briefed on their future expansion plans in domestic and foreign markets.

For the BCCI, companies such as ELMOT AD are an example of creating Bulgarian products with added value to present domestic business on foreign markets.

The organization of the meetings with the representatives of the public authorities in the region was carried out with the active cooperation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Veliko Tarnovo, chaired by Rosen Ivanov.
