Tsvetan Simeonov was elected for the 4th time as the President of the Board of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on the Regular General Assembly





For another reporting period, the financial independence of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry was also confirmed. A new Management Board consisting of 85 members was elected.

The Management Board elected Tsvetan Simeonov for the fourth time in a row as the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The former Secretary general of the Chamber, Dr. Vasil Todorov, was elected Deputy President, together with Krasimir Dachev and Todor Tabakov. Vasil Todorov will combine two positions - deputy chairman and chief secretary.

The new Executive Board of the BCCI will again include 9 people. In addition to the chairman and vice-chairmen, its members will be Valentina Zartova, Ivan Stoimenov, Lachezar Iskrov, and the new members are Georgi Stoilov - Chairman of the Pazardzhik Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who will be a representative of the regional chambers in the BCCI system and Galina Niforou - Chairman of the Bulgarian Association of Wine Exporters, which will be the representative of the branch organizations that are members of the Chamber.

The delegates of the General Assembly accepted the Guidelines proposed by the management for the activity of the BTPP in the period 2024-2028:

Work will continue on guidelines for: creating a more favorable environment for Bulgarian entrepreneurship, for its sustainable and independent development; increasing the competitiveness of goods and services produced and provided by Bulgarian entrepreneurs; development of existing forms of flexible employment (home work, remote work, hiring through temporary employment agencies, short-term seasonal work, hourly hiring, etc.); stimulating youth employment combined with increasing education; qualification and retraining; the opening of high-tech and high-performance jobs and the like; regulation of migration and improvement of the conditions for importing labor force that is in short supply in the country; stable development of the Bulgarian economy; stimulation of investment activity; increase of foreign investments in the Republic of Bulgaria.

New guidelines that will be worked on are: fight against inflation; The Green Deal; measures to address the lack of skilled labor; sustainability standards and policies; innovation and new technologies; Court of Arbitration; improvement of the BCCI system in view of the new trends in business.

A draft budget for revenues by directorates and expenses by economic elements for the period 2024-2028 was approved.
