Meeting with the newly appointed Bulgarian Ambassador to Tunisia

The newly appointed Ambassador of Bulgaria to Tunisia Veselin Dyankov visited the BCCI and met with President Tsvetan Simeonov. Current topics related to trade between Tunisian and Bulgarian companies were discussed. Simeonov stressed that BCCI’s relations with the Tunisian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Tunisian employers’ organization have a long history, but are not particularly active at present. Ambassador Dyankov expressed readiness to assist in the renewal of the cooperation agreement between the BCCI and the Tunisian Chamber of Commerce. An exchange of regular up-to-date information on the interest in cooperation of Bulgarian and Tunisian companies was agreed.

According to information from the Ministry of Economy, in 2019 the trade between the two countries amounted to USD 330 million, and in the first half of 2020 bilateral trade decreased to USD 75.5 million.
