The Chambers of Commerce of Bulgaria and Ukraine are preparing a business forum in Sofia this October
Mr. Gennadiy Chyzhykov, President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, visited BCCI and held talks with its President, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, regarding opportunities to develop bilateral trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and Ukraine. Also Mr. Volodymyr Dadasov, Vice - President of the Ukrainian-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, participated at the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the upcoming Bulgarian-Ukrainian Business Forum, scheduled to take place in October 2025 in Sofia. The event will build on the bilateral forum held last year. Mr. Chyzhykov highlighted key sectors of mutual interest for businesses from both countries, including agriculture and the food industry, transport and logistics, and energy. The participants discussed various aspects of the preparation around the event and the expected attendees from both sides.
Mr. Chyzhykov also provided an update on the current situation in Ukraine, noting that the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry continues to fulfill its role in supporting and protecting the interests of its members. The meeting also covered upcoming international initiatives, including the 14th World Chambers Congress of the ICC World Chambers Federation (ICC WCF), which will be held from September 2–4, 2025, in Melbourne, Australia.
