BCCI announces its 27th Annual Awards

On 14 December, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced its Annual Awards 2020. Traditionally, they are presented at an official ceremony in Sofia Hotel Balkan, but because this year’s ceremony could not be held in front of an audience due to the difficult epidemiological situation, a special video film about the awards was recorded.

It is precisely in this challenging and difficult year that it is important to highlight those who, together with the Chamber, made efforts for better performance of Bulgarian companies, for more successful economic development of our country, and for expanding Bulgaria’s participation in the international division of labour.

BCCI awarded the winning companies in the Chamber’s classification “TOP 100 Companies leading in the Bulgarian economy” in 2019, ranked on the basis of internationally recognized objective criteria. This year two additional awards were included to the existing categories. BCCI in cooperation with ICAP Bulgaria EAD awarded the company with the biggest growth in its credit rating in 2019 compared to 2018. A special award was also bestowed on the Chamber’s long-term partner – the University of National and World Economy  on the occasion of its 100th anniversary.

Traditionally, regional chambers of commerce and industry, branch organizations, ambassadors and foreign commercial counsellors accredited for Bulgaria, as well as representatives of Bulgaria’s commercial and economic sections abroad were also included in the classification. A media and a journalist found their place in the ranking as well.
