Meeting with the newly appointed Bulgarian Ambassador in Belgrade

Ambassador Petko Doykov, appointed to head Bulgaria’s diplomatic mission in Serbia, visited the BCCI and met with President Tsvetan Simeonov.

Ambassador Doykov got acquainted with the latest developments in BCCI’s work, as well as with its cooperation with partners from Serbia - the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Serbian Association of Employers. Simeonov stressed the good cooperation between the regional chambers of commerce from the two neighboring countries. He pointed out that a bilateral business forum with meetings between companies from Bulgaria and Serbia is to be organized as a continuation of the webinar held in early December last year together with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the embassies of the two countries.

Ambassador Doykov informed about the goals of his upcoming term of office in Belgrade, aimed at expanding bilateral trade and economic relations.

Simeonov provided information on the 211 trade representation offices and 45 companies with capital from Serbia registered at BCCI’s Unified Trade Register at the moment.

The forthcoming initiatives under this year’s Presidency of the Association of Balkan Chambers were also discussed at the meeting.
