Groningen university's business and economics students report on the "economic uprising of Bulgaria"

Students from one of the leading universities in the Netherlands have written a report that compiles several business dimensions in the context of the development of Bulgaria's economy.

The report is divided into four axes that help us understand the economic problematics at stake: FDIs and Business climate, Human Resource Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Some recommendations are suggested in their work for the major obstacles Bulgaria's economy needs to overcome in the long term.

The issue regards the "knowledge spillover," highly skilled and educated citizens moving away for better opportunities, as well as a mindset revolution concerning the sustainability of Bulgarian companies and their relation to environmental causes. The report also conveys information on how to progress the savoir-faire on a business situation with foreign companies and advice to invest time and money on innovative processes.

Bulgarian companies, Multinationals positioned in Sofia, and Non-Governmental Organizations including the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry have contributed to the research with numbers, interviews, and insights into Bulgaria's business climate.
