Bulgaria fifth in EU for industrial production growth in September Y/Y - Eurostat


In September, industrial production in Bulgaria increased by 11% year-on-year, placing the country fifth in the EU, show Eurostat’s latest seasonally adjusted evaluations published on 14 November. This is a slowing down from the growth of 16.5% in August, when Bulgaria ranked first in the Union, and of 18% in July.

In September compared to August, industrial production decreased by 1.7% in Bulgaria while it grew by 0.9% in the EU. Bulgaria is one out of 14 Member States where a decrease was observed.

In August compared to July, Bulgaria’s industrial production grew by 0.2%, against 5.7% in the EU.
