Cabinet approves target contribution of Energy Holding in Security of Electricity Energy System Fund

The caretaker government on 16 November approved a target contribution of the Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH) of BGN 200 million in the Security of Electricity Energy System Fund. The indicative amount of the contribution has been determined on the basis of October 2022 reported data and December 2022 forecasts of BEH's subsidiaries. The contribution will go toward implementation of the programme for compensating costs for purchase of power by non-household final consumers and operators of the power transmission and power distribution grids in the period from October 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022. 

Under the programme, non-household end consumers of power are paid compensations to the amount of 100% of the difference between the actual average monthly base load price on the Day Ahead segment on the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange and a base price of BGN 250.00/MWh, for period from July 1 to December 31, 2022.
