Bulgaria Registers Third Largest Monthly Increase in Construction Production in EU in November


In November 2025, compared with October 2025, seasonally adjusted production in construction decreased by 1.1% in both the euro area and the EU, according to first estimates from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, released on 20 January. In October 2025, production in construction grew by 1.7% in the euro area and by 1.4% in the EU.

Among Member States for which data are available, Bulgaria registered the third largest monthly increase in production in construction (+1.5%), following Slovakia (+3.5%), Finland (+2.3%).

The largest monthly decreases were recorded in Hungary (-7.3%), Slovenia (-6.2%) and Romania (-5.8%).

Production in construction decreased by 0.8% in the Euro Area and by 0.4% in the EU in November, year-on-year. Bulgaria recorded an increase of 3.5%, year-on-year, placing the country together with Slovakia, in fourth place in the EU for the highest annual growth in the construction sector in November.
