CEA adopted the six-month programme of priority topics for the Republic of Bulgaria during the Lithuanian Presidency


The Council of European Affairs (CEA) reviewed and adopted the six-month programme of priority topics and records for the Republic of Bulgaria during the Lithuanian Presidency to the Council of the European Union (July - December 2013).
The adoption of the programme supplements the responsibilities of the work groups to keep up with the current policies and changes to the legislation of the European Union in the relevant sectors, and to review and coordinate the public opinions on all the matters that are subject of consideration to the European Union, the European Council and its subsidiary bodies.
After reviewing the programme of the Lithuanian Presidency along with the work programme of the European Commission for the year of 2013, Bulgaria has outlined the following topics of high priority for the country in the second half of 2013:
               ·        Finalizing the negotiations on the Multi-annual Financial Frame and related sector’s legislation;

·        Reform in the General policy on fishery;

·        Youth employment;

·        Bank unions;

·        The fourth railway package and enlarging the European Union.

The programme provides a detailed description of particular records that are of essential priority to Bulgaria, thus efforts shall be focused into this direction.
