The French Minister of Agriculture Stephen Le Fol visited the Bulgarian stand at SIAL 2014


The French Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Forestry and the French government spokesman Stefan Le Fol visited the Bulgarian stand at the exhibition for the food industry SIAL 2014. He was greeted by the Bulgarian Minister of Agriculture and Food Vasil Grudev and the Bulgarian Ambassador in Paris H. E. Angel Cholakov. During the tour the Ministers Grudev and Le Fol tasted traditional Bulgarian products and innovative eco-industries. At the fair Minister Grudev met with his Czech counterpart Marian Yurechka. Together with Le Fol they discussed the implementation of the common agricultural policy and the policy in the dairy sector.

The Bulgarian booth was one of the five, which were included in the tour of Le Fol. It occupies an area 300 square meters,  over 40 companies from different sectors of the food industry in Bulgaria participate. This is the largest fair space that our country has ever had in similar fair in France. Besides the traditional Bulgarian products, producers of organic food also attended and a Bulgarian company was honored with a nomination for an innovative product of the organizers of the fair. The stand of Bulgaria is funded by the Operational Programme "Competitiveness" of the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency(BSMEPA). The project included a trade mission involving 15 Bulgarian companies, the goal is to be carried out contacts with potential partners. During the fair are involved 18 separate exhibitors represented in specialized sectoral chambers.

The fair SIAL is the biggest specialized event in the food industry. For the period October 19 to 23 are expected over 6300 exhibitors from 105 countries.
