During a visit to Chișinău, representatives of the partners under the Project called ‘Functionally Sustainable Migration and Integration in Bulgaria’ from the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and CEED Bulgaria held a working meeting with Natalia Calenic, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova.
The Meeting presented the objectives, activities and results achieved so far, as well as the opportunities for increasing the cooperation between the two Chambers. Special attention was paid to the preparation of an online information event to be held in August and to show the citizens of the Republic of Moldova the opportunities for work and for professional development in Bulgaria, as well as the conditions for starting and building up a business in this country.
The participants in the Meeting discussed their shared and joint commitment to developing the labour market and to encouraging the legal labour mobility. The Chambers of Commerce support initiatives which contribute to the free movement of people, the exchange of professional experience and the better awareness regarding the opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship in Bulgaria and the European Union.
The discussion also included some forthcoming business-oriented initiatives in the Moldovan capital such as the Wine Days in early October and a parallel Business Forum.
In addition, the topics of the talk comprised the process of preparing Moldova for accession to the European Union. In this connection, it was shared that BCCI can provide information on best practices such as the meetings of the Euroclub at BCCI and training sessions for businesses.
During the visit to Chișinău, representatives of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and CEED Bulgaria held working meetings with Moldovan companies specialised in staff selection and human resources development.
The BGjobsPortal Platform was presented, along with its options to facilitate foreign applicants’ access to the current job advertisements and to practical information about labour migration.
The representatives of the Moldovan companies expressed interest in the opportunities for partnership when popularising the Platform and for accessing potential applicants not only in Moldova but in other countries, too, as well as for organising an online event in August.
