In September, Sofia will Display Warlamis Museum’s Collection Related to Athos Peninsula in Greece

Paul Trochopoulos, Chairman of Experimental Workshop of Vergina — a Greek non-profit organisation — visited BCCI and talked with the Chamber Vice President Dr Vasil Todorov.

During the meeting, Paul Trochopoulos presented an initiative to hold a cultural event — an exhibition related to Athos Peninsula in Greece. The event organiser is the Warlamis Museum in Austria (Das Kunstmuseum) and PIRAMATIKO ERGASTIRI VERGINAS from Greece. The exhibition will take place in the period from 15 September to 15 November 2026 at the National Palace of Culture (NDK) in Sofia under the patronage of the Bulgarian Patriarch. The exhibition will show the collection of the Warlamis Museum and monks’ portraits from the photo archive of the Holy Mountain (Mount Athos).

The aim of the exhibition is to highlight numerous values, namely: the respect for the environment, the simple habits of the monks — such as their diet, work and daily routines — which reveal alternative ways of organising life. The significance of the so-called “Orthodox Management” will be examined also through holding different lectures.

BCCI received an invitation to render assistance for the participation of entrepreneurs from both countries in the initiative, together with its partners from the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Bulgarian-Greek Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
