In the first quarter of 2025, the number of newly built residential buildings rose


According to preliminary data from the National Statistical Institute, in the first quarter of 2025 the number of newly built residential buildings was 1 052, and the newly built dwellings in them were 4 086. In the first quarter of 2025, 75.9% of the newly built residential buildings had steelconcrete construction, 19.3% had solid structure, 4.2% had ‘other’ and 0.6% had a panel construction.

 The highest is the relative share of newly built houses (77.2%), followed by blocks of flats (15.9%). The highest is the number of residential buildings built in Sofia (stolitsa) district - 163 residential buildings with 1 341 dwellings, followed by Plovdiv district - 135 residential buildings with 418 dwellings, and Varna district - 130 buildings with 517 dwellings in them.

The highest is the number of newly built dwellings with two rooms (38.1%), followed by the number of those with three rooms (37.8%), and the lowest is the number of dwellings with one room (2.8%).

In the first quarter of 2025, the total useful space of the newly built dwellings was 414.5 thousand sq. m, and the living floor space was 279.7 thousand square meters.

The average living floor space of a newly built dwelling was 68.5 square meters.

The largest average living floor space of a newly built dwelling was recorded in the districts of Vidin - 151.8 sq. m, and Kardzhali - 120.9 sq. m, and the smallest ones in Pleven - 45.8 sq. m, and Razgrad - 47.5 square meters.
