The projects for “Connected Bulgaria”, part of the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan of Bulgaria has been presented to the municipalities and the IT sector


The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications together with the State e-Government Agency have presented to municipalities and branch organizations the draft proposal “Connected Bulgaria”, part of the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan of Bulgaria. One of the main objectives is to build a modern and secure digital infrastructure, and to overcome the territorial imbalances related to the bandwidth allocation in broadband access networks. That has stated Mrs. Andreana Atanasova, the Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications.

The Plan comprises the fields of Digital Connectivity, Transport Connectivity and Local Development. The total planned funding for the specific activities is BGN 805.9 million.

It is expected the Plan to be coordinated with the European Commission until the end of the year, and the timeline for its implementation to be until 2025, concluded the Deputy Minister Atanasova.
