Revenues from Nights Spent in Bulgaria in December 2025 Increase by 12.5% Compared to December 2024
The total revenues from nights spent in December 2025, increased by 12.5%, compared to the same month of the previous year, and reached BGN 112.7 million, as BGN 75.6 million were from Bulgarian residents and BGN 37.1 million - from non-residents, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) announced on February 9.
According to data from the NSI, revenues in December 2024, amounted to BGN 100.2 million (EUR 51.2 million), or 11.6% more than the same month of the previous year. Last year started with revenues from overnight stays amounting to BGN 112.9 million (EUR 57.7 million), or 24% more than the same month of the previous year.
The total occupancy of the bed-places in December 2025, was 25.4% and increased by 1.1 percentage points compared to a year earlier. The highest occupancy was in 4 and 5-star accommodation establishments - 33.4%, followed by those with 3 stars - 24.4%, and with 1 and 2 stars - 15.3%. The total number of nights spent was 1,083,500 or 8.2% more in comparison to a year earlier. The nights spent by Bulgarian residents were 765,500 and by non-residents - 318,000.
