The experience of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in informing business about the benefits of the introduction of the euro - a topic of a meeting in the BCCI

Christian Mandl, Head of the European Policy Department at the Austrian Federal Economic  Chamber - Wirtschaftskammer Österreich (WKÖ), and Philip Kupfer, Commercial Counselor at the Embassy of Austria in Sofia, visited the BCCI  and met with the Chairman of the Chamber, Tsvetan Simeonov.

Simeonov provided his guests with information about current economic situation in the country, as well as the latest initiatives and upcoming activities of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The current topics of Bulgaria's membership in the Eurozone, Schengen and the OECD  and the experience of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber  in informing business about the benefits of the introduction of the euro were also discussed. Simeonov thanked Christian Mandl for the shared experience and good examples in the practice of the Austrian organization.

The cooperation between the BCCI and the WKÖ within the framework of the Association of European Chambers, as well as initiatives of European Chambers, including "Chambers meet Chambers", were discussed. The initiative aims to offer local, regional and national chambers of commerce and industry the opportunity to make contact with new organizations, strengthen existing ties or expand their partner network.
