The Ambassador of Chile H.E. Maria Pia Busta Diaz visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry after providing her credentials to the President of the Republic of Bulgaria. She had the opportunity to meet with the President of the Chamber, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov.
Possibilities for resuming the bilateral economic relations following the pandemic were discussed. The main objectives set by Ambassador Busta are related to providing direct contact between the companies from the two countries and addressing the cooperation towards the SMEs as they generate 80% of the employment in Chile.
Mr. Simeonov referred to the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a business and employers’ organization, which provides various services and is renowned for its international recognition and collaboration with partners. He reviewed various economic sectors in Bulgaria, which offer great opportunities for cooperation, including: industry, information technology, agriculture, tourism, food industry, etc.
It was agreed that BCCI and the Embassy of Chile, located in Romania, with accreditation for Bulgaria, regularly exchange information for the benefit of the business.
