The newly appointed Commercial Counselor with the Embassy of Austria was introduced to the activities of the Chamber

The newly appointed Commercial Counselor who is going to take the lead of the commercial representation with the Embassy of Austria to Bulgaria – Ulrike Straka, was presented at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Till now, this function was performed by Michael Angerer whose term-of-office is currently ending and he is going back to Vienna.

New joint activities were in focus of the discussion. In late October the Commercial Service of the Austrian Embassy, jointly with the BCCI, are going to organize a business forum on the occasion of the visit of a high-level state delegation from Austria in Sofia. The forum will be attended by Austrian companies which shall have the opportunity to meet with their Bulgarian counterparts. The joint initiative will focus on sectors such as infrastructure, construction and environment.
