Opportunities to enhance the trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and Argentina were discussed at a meeting hosted by the BCCI between the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Argentina to Bulgaria H.E. Guillermo Azrak and the BCCI's President Tsvetan Simeonov.
Trade between the two countries in 2013 increased slightly compared to the previous 2012, as Bulgarian exports reported an increase by 52% and imports from Argentina marked a slight decrease, nevertheless the trade balance remains generally negative for Bulgaria , albeit in a minor amount.
Subject to discussion were new initiatives to enhance the bilateral economic cooperation. It was agreed that on October 7, 2014 in the premises of BCCI in Sofia a joint event shall take place aimed at businesses, featuring the famous Argentine musician Matias Gonzalez, Club Diplomats and Business Bulgaria and representatives of the member companies of the BCCI.
