Discussion of Bulgarian-Lebanese business relations
The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov had a conversation with Ahmad Alaeddine - President of the Lebanese - Bulgarian Business Council. During the meeting upcoming initiatives promoting bilateral business relations were discussed.
Furthermore the most recent features and requirements of the markets of Bulgaria and Lebanon were also discussed. Among the topics discussed was the idea of resuming the activities of the Association of Bulgarian-Arab Economic Chambers of at the BCCI.
Ahmad Alaeddine informed about a forthcoming visit of a Lebanese business delegation to Sofia, as the dates will be further specified and the companies interested in future cooperation will be informed in due time.
According to the Ministry of Economy, there was an increase in 2019 in Bulgarian exports to Lebanon by 64.3% compared to 2018, amounting to 132.1 million USD. For the same period, imports from Lebanon decreased by 67% and amounted to USD 31.3 million.
