Representatives of the Bulgarian-Australian Business Council visited the BCCI



The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tsvetan Simeonov, had a working meeting with Joana Kehlibarova, executive director, and Dimitar Stoimenov, board member of the Bulgarian-Australian Business Council.

Focus of the meeting was the possibility to expand the bilateral economic relations between Bulgaria and Australia. Mrs Kehlibarova pointed out that the Free Trade Agreement between the EU and Australia was about to be signed very soon, giving a new impetus to the economic relations.

Mr Simeonov confirmed the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is ready to be a co-organizer of a business trip to Australia at the end of 2023. The visit will be organized with the aim to explore new opportunities for cooperation and partnership in areas such as investment, trade, export and will include a series of institutional and business meetings with local partners in Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney.

The representatives of the Bulgarian-Australian Business Council emphasized that the businesses are currently interested in bilateral meetings and talks in key sectors such as: healthcare, education, tourism, food industry, agriculture, energy, information technology, environmental protection, etc.
