Meeting with the new Bulgarian Ambassador to Nigeria


The newly-appointed Ambassador of Bulgaria to the Federal Republic of Nigeria H.E. Veselin Delchev met with the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov. During the meeting the future cooperation between the Chamber and the Bulgarian Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria in order to help entrepreneurs from both countries find new business partners and expand the bilateral cooperation was discussed.

Tsvetan Simeonov introduced the guest to the various activities and services provided by BCCI, including the Chamber’s Trade Register, Arbitration Court, etc.

Ambassador Delchev reported that Nigerian companies have expressed interest towards cooperation in the field of food industry and renewable energy.

According to the data of the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy  over the last few years Bulgarian exports to Nigeria consist mainly of steel rods, power transformers, electric batteries, corn, dish-washing machines, petroleum oils, etc.

Imports from Nigeria have been insignificant lately and consist mainly of cotton yarns, containing at least 85% cotton, unprocessed aluminium, cocoa mass, etc.
