Viber is opening a CEE office in Bulgaria
Viber is opening a CEE office in Bulgaria, the leading telecommunications company announced. Its initial efforts will be focused on Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia and Hungary – all leading markets with great development potential in terms of the 27 million user base in the region. Currently Viber has over 600 million users worldwide.
Atanas Raykov will be the new Viber CEE General Manager. He joins the company after ten years at a Bulgarian telecom, where he was in charge of the mobile service and added value service trade strategy. "There has been unbelievable growth in CEE countries. We want to improve on this by introducing a localized marketing strategy and content for the millions of users of Viber in the region," said Mark Hardy, company CMO.
Part of Viber's strategy to gain new markets includes new and interesting functions, from fun collections of stickers to public chats, allowing users to follow famous singers, athletes and other celebrities.
