The newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands visited BCCI

The newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands, H. E. Mr. Tom van Oorschot visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and met with the President of the Chamber, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov. Ms. Monica Nikolova – Economic and Trade Affairs Assistant to the Embassy in Sofia, also attended the meeting.

Ambassador Oorschot was introduced to the activities of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the functioning of the Unified System of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, covering all regions across the country. Among the issues discussed at the meeting were also BCCI’s membership to various international organisations and the benefits for the Bulgarian business.

Tsvetan Simeonov expressed gratitude to the Dutch cooperation in creating the new version of the Voluntary Unified Trade Register of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In the opinion of Ambassador Oorschot there is a great potential for the Dutch SMEs of different sectors of economy to enter the Bulgarian market. In this context, the Embassy and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will continue their joint work.
