


Japan's proposal for “Smart Community 2020” has brought together over 100 participants, among whom representatives of businesses, public organisations and academic circles. The lecture was presented by Fumitoshi Emura, Head of Department “Encouraging business to intelligent demand management, smart city projects and business projects on social innovation” in the Japanese company of HITACHI.
The event, organized on the initiative and with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Sofia, was opened by the Secretary-General of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Vassil Todorov, who highlighted the importance of the long-standing partnership between Bulgaria and Japan, as well as the cooperation between the Chamber and the Embassy of Japan, and the activities of the Bulgarian-Japanese and Japanese-Bulgarian Economic Councils. In this connection, every year BCCI bestows a successful Bulgarian company on the Japanese Quality Award BOSEI, which for the year of 2013 went to the owner of the brand “Happy Sushi”.
