BCCI President Tsvetan Simeonov Participated in the Eurochambres Congress in Valencia




The President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov took part in the Eurochambres Congress 2026 which was held in Valencia, Spain. The Forum brought together representatives and Heads of Chambers of Commerce and Industry from all over Europe for a two-day exchange of experience and for discussions on the current challenges to businesses and the role of the Chambers in overcoming them.

At the opening, Eurochambres President Vladimir Dlouhy emphasised the key role of the Chambers in being close to businesses in periods of changes, by helping enterprises to understand better the processes around them, to use the opportunities and to limit the risks. He also put an emphasis on the need for Chambers to assess constantly their own readiness and ability to respond effectively to the changing needs of businesses.

During the opening session, José Luis Bonet, President of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, and Arcadi España García, Spain’s Minister of Finance, delivered speeches of welcome to the participants.

The Congress Programme was aimed not only at presenting expert standpoints and policies, but also at exchanging practical experience and good examples among the chambers, at discussing different approaches and at seeking effective solutions in support of European businesses.

The Congress discussed some topics, key for European businesses, including the reinforcement of competitiveness through the single market, the role of energy for the competitiveness and security of Europe and the influence of the geopolitical situation on the activity of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The discussions were further devoted to the challenges and opportunities for businesses in the changing international environment, as well as to the role of the Chambers in supporting the enterprises and their adaptation to the new economic and geopolitical realities.
