BCCI Joined a Declaration of the Business Council of the Organisation for Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) about Safe Shipping in the Black Sea
The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has joined the Declaration of the Business Council of the Organisation for Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) about recovery of the safe shipping and the sustainable flows of grain and other commodities in the Black Sea.
The Declaration, adopted on 11 September 2026 in Thessaloniki during a regular meeting of the Business Council’s members, highlights the importance of the safe and predictable shipping for the region’s economic stability, for the international food security and for the stability of supply chains.
The Business Council calls for support of arrangements which guarantee safe maritime corridors for merchant ships, protection the flows of grain, foodstuffs and industrial goods and reduction in the risks to commercial operations. The Declaration expresses support for turning the Black Sea into an area of cooperation, security and economic prosperity, and not into an area of confrontation.
The Declaration is an important initiative in the interests of businesses, the stability of trade flows and the peace in the Black Sea region. The secure and predictable business environment is of crucial importance to the development of enterprises, the international trade and the economic cooperation among the countries in the region.
