TEG announces the 4th Central Eastern European Logistics & SCM Excellence Award in 2016


TEG, the organiser of the market leading logistics and supply chain management summit, TRANSLOG Connect, is proud to announce the call for applications for the 4th Central Eastern European (CEE) Logistics and Supply Chain Management Excellence Award. The award has been established to honour, recognise and promote outstanding logistics and supply chain management solutions in the rapidly growing region of CEE. Manufacturers and retailers from all industry sectors as well as solution providers are welcome to apply with their most innovative projects and methods implemented in the region. Applications will be assessed by our highly renowned independent jury and the winners will have the opportunity to present their projects on CEE’s most important logistics and supply chain management summit, TRANSLOG Connect.

The establishment of the award is an important stepping stone on the way which sees the growing importance of CEE as a market. Marking a new era, the award has highlighted the region’s most innovative and flexible solutions in the previous editions of TRANSLOG and will continue in the future.  The aim of the award is not only to celebrate excellence in logistics, but to encourage professionals to constantly raise standards and innovate in logistics and supply chain management, contributing to the development of CEE as a region.

Jury members include Professor Sebastian Kummer, Director of the Institute for Transport and Logistics Management at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Paul Copil, COO at Fashion Days Shopping, Dagmara Glowacka, Global Logistics Manager at Kongsberg Automotive, Miroslav Skorepa, Logistics and Customer Service Director EMEA at Bacardi and Klaus Buchwald, VP Corporate SCM at Rohde & Schwarz.

The projects will be evaluated based on their level of innovation, ability to transfer the concept, sustainability, cost-effectiveness and customer value-contribution. Applications from all members of the industry are welcome in two categories - manufacturers and retail companies in the first one, while service providers with a customer related project in the second - until the 3rd of October 2016.
