The newly appointed Ambassador of Bulgaria to Algeria H.E. Mariyana Boyadzhieva visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and discussed with the President Tsvetan Simeonov the possibility of establishing a joint business council to support bilateral trade and investment relations.
Tsvetan Simeonov informed the Ambassador that BCCI’s partners in Algeria are the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Confederation of Algerian Employers, with which cooperation agreements have been signed. The BCCI President emphasized that these documents need to be updated and this can be done in the coming months during an exchange of business visits or at virtual meetings.
Ambassador Boyadzhieva got acquainted with BCCI’s contacts with Bulgarian companies that have interests in Algeria, in particular in the field of mechanical engineering, electronics and electrical engineering, machinery and equipment for agriculture, etc.
Several initiatives are underway from both sides to expand trade ties after the pandemic.
