The Ambassador of Georgia was awarded with an honorary diploma of BCCI

H.E. Tamara Liluashvili, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia, visited BCCI at the end of her four-year mandate in our country. She met with the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov. Vraja Gvaramiya, first secretary and consul at the Embassy of Georgia in Sofia, also took part in the meeting.

During the conversation, an overview of the achievements in the bilateral economic relations in the last four years was made. Mr. Simeonov thanked Ambassador Liluashvili for the good joint efforts and work, for the quick and successful correspondence and for the small but sustainable results. He awarded the Ambassador with an honorary diploma.

The Embassy clarified that a direct Sofia-Tbilisi flight line is ready to start, but at the moment there is no economic justification for its launch. The diplomatic representation will rather promote seasonal charter lines to serve the tourist flow. Ambassador Luluashvili informed that there are already established connections between tour operators from both countries to implement this idea, as well as contacts in the wine production sector, since among the possible types of tourism of common interest are the wine and religious tourism.
